Penda Coffee Co. aims to produce high quality coffee beans from coffee bean growing countries around the world. We import the beans, roast them through a quality roasting process, and then deliver them to consumers. We value quality roasts and know that our customers do as well. We want you to experience the excellence coffee can have.
How We Help
Here at Penda Coffee Co., our goal is to serve others who need support in receiving an education. In Nairobi, Kenya there is an organization with a school named New Hope Academy. This school is located in the world's second largest slum with over one million people populating a one square mile area. Children in this slum have no hope of escaping the poverty except through education. New Hope Academy offers a safe and excellent learning environment where students can work to receive their education.
In Kenya, there is a national exam to qualify those for secondary school. Paying for secondary school is not a common luxury most families have in the slum. These students depend on sponsorships to help them pay for secondary school and moving on to college or university.
When you buy a bag of coffee, 50% of the profits that Penda Coffee Co. donates goes to funding scholarships for these students to attend secondary school. Getting these students out of the cycle of poverty not only benefits them as individuals, but their entire families as well.
