Crisis in Kibera!

On January 20th, the school we support in Kibera, New Hope Academy, was partially torn down by bulldozers. The government wanted to pave a road through the slum and in effect drove their machines right through one of the school buildings. As a result, several classrooms were lost. Luckily, school was not in session for the day, so no one was hurt by this.
Since that day, the teachers and community members helped to rebuild that part of the school building with cinder blocks so that if this were to happen again, it would not go down easily. Also, people in the community would come and loot school items like books and desks that the children use daily. They were fought off by parents who's children go to NHA.
Kibera desperately needs prayer. The government is unreasonable and it's difficult to understand why this school was affected by their desire to build a road. Please pray that good will come from this tragedy.
A great way you can support is buy buying a bag of coffee. We donate 50% of our profits to this school to help students pay for high school, so these students are directly helped as a result of your purchase.
Thank you!
